  • Randolph “Randy” Baptiste, 53, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Ardmore. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at Southwest Baptist Church of Ardmore. Interment to follow at McAlister Cemetery, Overbrook.
    Randy was born April 9, 1961, to Dolph Baptiste, Sr. and Betty Lou (Brown) Baptiste at Altus. He loved all sports and was an avid OU and Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved his native heritage and traditions and spending time with his precious granddaughter, BreAnna Holybee, but most of all, he loved the Lord. Randy was a member of Sandy Baptist Church and worked for the Chickasaw Nation for more than 20 years.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Dolph Baptiste Sr., and grandparents Amelia Shoemaker Campos and Lula Marris Parker.
    Randy is survived by his mother, Betty Baptiste; four children, Joshua and Vincent Baptiste of the home, Amanda Holybee and husband David of Ardmore, and Brandice Provost of Sioux City, Iowa; four grandchildren, BreAnna Holybee, Rashad Holybee, Brendan Catches and Jaedyn Lopez; brother Arch Ranai Baptiste and wife Peggy of Kentucky; sisters Rebecca Nash, Rhonda Perez and Raquel Baptiste; friends Erin and Spencer Whalen, all of Ardmore; nieces and nephews Amber Baptiste of Kentucky, and Trey, Mariah, Tylen, Jeron, Aaron, Chase and Aaralyn, all of Ardmore; and numerous extended family and friends.
    Serving as pallbearers will be Arch Ranai Baptiste, Joshua Baptiste, Trey Baptiste, Harry Marris, Ray Meely, Richard Carney, and Tylen Baptiste. Serving as honorary bearers will be members of the Chickasaw Transportation team.
