  • Ardmore narcotics officers arrested two local men and seized what was described as “high grade” marijuana, marijuana plants and cash Tuesday when a search warrant was served at a northwest side residence.
Det. Brandon Cathey, Ardmore Police Department Narcotics Division, said information developed from anonymous tips led to the search warrant executed at a house, located in the 500 block of F Street NW. Arrested at the scene was Seth Pierce, 22, and Ryan Cobb, 23. Both men were taken into custody without incident and booked into the Carter County Detention Center.
“During the search, we located 10 grams of high grade — what we believe is medicinal marijuana grown in another state, approximately $1,000 believed to be proceeds from the distribution of marijuana and several small plants that were being grown inside the house,” Cathey said.
Charges of cultivating a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana) and possession of CDS (marijuana) with intent to distribute were filed Wednesday against both men by the district attorney’s office.
Pierce and Cobb made initial appearances in Carter County District Court Wednesday afternoon. Bonds of $20,000 were set on the charges against both men. Pierce is also currently under the delayed sentencing program for young adults. He earned the status after being convicted of embezzlement last year. Both Pierce and Cobb remained incarcerated Wednesday night pending the posting of bond.
Cathey commended those citizens who provided information that led to the search warrant and the arrest of the duo.
“We continue to encourage anyone who sees suspicious activity in or around their homes or work places to call us. We do pay attention to and follow up on all information we receive. You may not see us, but know we are there,” Cathey said. “And remember, you don’t have to give us your name. Tips can be given anonymously.”
