Servic­es for Bonnie Elizabeth Celcer, 91, of Healdton, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Roger Sims officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery in Healdton.


Elizabeth was born on Feb. 10, 1923, in Slick, Okla., to Lee and Nora Bishop Shull. She passed away May 2, 2014, at the Wilson Nursing Center.


Elizabeth gradu­ated from Stigler High School in 1940 and on June 6th of the same year, she married Glenn Cel­cer in Kinta, Okla. They moved to Pruitt City due to Glenn’s employment in the oilfields in 1954, mak­ing their home in west­ern Carter County the remainder of their lives. She was a loving mother and homemaker for many years until 1988 when she began employment with Fox Schools as a custo­dian, a job which she was extremely good at. She was awarded Oklahoma’s custodian of the year, and was also concession stand manager. She retired in 2011.


Elizabeth enjoyed work­ing in her yard, planning family functions and watching plays at the Goddard Center. She got to enjoy going on an Alas­kan Cruise with the Fox School employees three years ago. She was of the Baptist faith.


Elizabeth is survived by two daughters, Treva Gage and Eric of Heald­ton, and Gail Celcer of Keller, Texas; two sons, Glenn Rhea Celcer and wife, Terry of Fayetteville, N.C., and Charles Celcer and wife, Gay of Lone Grove; grandchildren, Michael and Bradley Hurst, Melissa and hus­band, Tim Landrum, Lee Charles and wife, Wendy, Patrick and Tina Celcer, Ryan Celcer, Chad and Elisha Celcer and Gary Glenn Celcer; 11 great­-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchil­dren.


Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glenn Celcer; grandsons, Larry Hurst Jr. and Charlie Celcer; two sisters; and two brothers.


Serving as pallbear­ers will be grandsons, Michael Hurst, Bradley Hurst, Lee Charles Celcer and Patrick Celcer.


Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at Roberts Fu­neral Home in Healdton.
