  • Carter County: Jury term starts Monday; several felony cases set for trial

  • A jury term will begin in Carter County District Court Monday with a number of felony cases set for trial including de­fendants charged with crimes ranging from rob­bery to assault and drug distribution to firearms violations.
     
    Felony cases set for trial include:
     
    • Ryan Dondre Gordon — possession of controlled dangerous substance (marijuana)
     
    • Ian Nathaniel Jones — first-degree burglary
     
    • Gary Regan Rene­barger — possession of firearms after conviction or during probation, un­lawful possession of CDS (methamphetamine) and two counts of committing a felony with firearm with defaced number
     
    • Eric Jerome Jackson — felonious possession of firearm
     
    • Cortez Laron Hous­ton — unlawful distribu­tion of CDS
     
    • Deangelo Levoy Washington — robbery by force or fear
     
    • Jackie Paul McElroy — aggravated assault and battery Those defendants seek­ing non-jury trials in­clude:
     
    • Johnny Arlyn Davis — lewd or indecent acts to a child
     
    • Steven Zachary Park­er — counterfeiting
