  • Funeral services for Christopher Dewayne Cryer, of Lone Grove, will be Monday, May 12, 2014, 2:00 P.M., at the Emman­uel Baptist Church with the Rev. David Gardner officiating. Interment will follow at the Cheek Cem­etery.
     
    Family visitation will be held on today from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home, Ardmore, Oklahoma.
     
    Chris was born May 14, 1982, in Bethany, Okla­homa, to Floyd Dewayne “Rat” and Vicki Inez (An­derson) Cryer. He died at Mercy Hospital in Ard­more, Oklahoma on May 6, 2014, following a tragic accident.
     
    Chris married the for­mer Anna Michelle Tank­ersley on February 19, 2000, in Ardmore, Okla­homa.
     
    Chris graduated from Lone Grove High School in 2001, and worked in the maintenance depart­ment at Atlas Roofing Company in Ardmore. He loved to hunt and fish, but Chris had a passion to help others too, and was a Herbalife coach.
     
    He was a family man, and loved his wife and children dearly. They would work out together and as a team, they con­ducted Fit Camp in Lone Grove. They opened Fu­eled Nutrition in Lone Grove on May 5 to help Lone Grove become a healthier community.
     
    His grandfathers, Floyd Cryer and Virgil Ander­son, preceded him in death.
     
    Chris is survived by his wife, Michelle, of the home; sons, Dylan, Caleb and Bryson Cryer, of the home; parents, Dewayne “Rat” and Vicki Cryer of Lone Grove, Oklahoma; grandmothers, Shirley Cryer of Wilson, Oklaho­ma, and Wilma Dickerson of Ardmore, Oklahoma; sisters, Veronica Nelson and husband, Chris of Meeker, Oklahoma, and Cassie Cryer of Ardmore, Oklahoma; nephews, Jus­tis and Braxton Nelson; nieces, Savanna Nelson, Kiara Vickers and Anna­belle Scott.
     
    Casket bearers will be Joe Christian, Ron Conyer, Steven Summers, Tracey Joy, Mike Maytubby and Larry Gibson.
     
    Memorial contribu­tions may be made to any American National Bank location in the name of Chris Cryer to benefit his children’s future educa­tion endeavors.
