  • Harriett Gardner, age 80, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2014, at Ardmore, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 13, 2014, in The Cha­pel at Griffin-Hillcrest, Ardmore, Okla., with the Reverend Jimmy May of­ficiating. Interment to fol­low at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Ardmore.
     
    Harriett was born on January 7, 1934, to Jess Lee Johnson and Charlotte Mae (Cummings) Johnson at Hollywood, New Mexi­co. She attended Ardmore schools and worked in ac­counting for Goodyear Tires, for Bealls Depart­ment Store as a clerk, and also as a delivery person for Kerr and Reavis Phar­macy until her retirement. Harriett married Berlin “B.J.” Gardner on March 4, 1978. The couple trav­eled extensively and loved taking Sunday drives to­gether. She enjoyed play­ing cards and dominoes. Harriet was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Ardmore.
     
    She was preceded in death by her parents; hus­band, Berlin, on May 28, 2010; and sister, Donna Gayle Bridgman.
     
    Harriett is survived by her daughters, Sharon Ward and husband, Don, and Cathy Brown and hus­band, Bobby; son, Wayne Hobson and wife, Tammy; grandchildren, Andrea Castellow, Kimberly Ford, Kristen Rychlik, Donald Ward, Amy Muse, and Jeremy Hobson; 17 great­grandchildren; sister, Rosa Lee Meyer; step-children, Sharon Jobe and hus­band, Bill, Sandra Farve and husband, Tom, Berlin Gardner and wife, Deb­bie, Susan Gabbard and husband, Bill, and Steve Gardner and wife, Evonne; 12 step-grandchildren and 20 step-great-grandchil­dren.
     
    The family will greet visitors on Monday eve­ning, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., at Griffin~Hillcrest, Ardmore.
