Graveside rites for Constance E. Snider, 93, will be at 11:30 Saturday morning at Memorial Park Cemetery in Edmond.

A time of visitation and support for the family will be from 6 until 7 this evening at the funeral home.

The daughter of the late Miles L. and Minta Ethel Hooter Seaborn, Constance was born Feb. 14, 1921, in Shamrock, Okla., and passed away on May 14, 2014, in Woodward.

She and Vencent F. Snider were married in Oklahoma City in 1939, and he preceded her in death July 28, 1990. She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Robert T. Snider; her sister, Pollyanna; and a brother, Miles L. Seaborn Jr.

A resident of Ardmore for more than 40 years, Constance was a member of the First Baptist Church, a member of the Ardmore Lions Club and had the honor of being the first Lady Lion in Oklahoma. She was a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy, WMU of the First Baptist Church and active in the Philharmonic.

She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Shirm of Woodward; sons Bill Snider of Ardmore and John Snider of Galveston, Texas; sister Jeanne Seaborn of Fort Worth, Texas; granddaughters Merry Decker of Plano, Texas, and Carlie of Yukon; her grandson, Cole of Yukon; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
