The Oklahoma State Cowboys have been chosen to host an NCAA baseball super regional.
OSU announced Tuesday that the Cowboys will host UC Irvine in a best-of-three series starting Friday at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium. This is the first time OSU has hosted a super regional.
OSU is 48-16 after winning the regional in Stillwater while UC Irvine is 38-23 after upsetting No. 1 national seed Oregon in the regional in Corvallis, Oregon.
The games will start at 8:30 p.m. Friday and 9 p.m. Saturday. Sunday’s game, if necessary, will begin at 8 p.m.
The winner of the super regional advances to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.
