  • ODOT July 4th holiday traffic

  • The following construction projects are weather permitting, and will impact travel on highways over the July 4th holiday weekend. For turnpike information call the Turnpike Authority at 405-425-3600 or visit pikepass.com.
     
    Statewide
     
    I-40 narrowed near Warner, Muskogee Co.
    I-40 is narrowed to one lane in each direction just east of SH-2 for a bridge rehabilitation project.
     
    US-75 narrowed north of Henryetta, Okmulgee Co.
    Southbound US-75 is narrowed to one lane between Schulter and Henryetta for a pavement resurfacing project
     
    US-60 narrowed in Pawhuska, Osage Co.
    US-60 is narrowed to one lane in each direction at Bird Creek in Pawhuska for a bridge rehabilitation project.
     
    US-60 closed west of Vinita, Craig Co.
    All lanes of east and westbound US-60 are closed to through traffic between the SH-66 and SH-28 junctions west of Vinita until mid-July for a bridge replacement project. Drivers should use SH-28 and SH-66 as a detour.
     
    US-77 closed south of Tonkawa, Kay Co.
    US-77 is closed six miles south of Tonkawa at Bird’s Nest Creek for a bridge rehabilitation project. Drivers will detour on US-60, I-35 and SH-15 to US-77.
     
    US-60 narrowed near Tonkawa, Kay Co.
    US-60 is narrowed to one lane in each direction approximately three miles east of I-35 near Tonkawa for a bridge rehabilitation project.
     
    US-77 closed near Guthrie, Logan Co.
    US-77 is closed approximately five miles north of SH-33 for a bridge and roadway reconstruction project. Drivers will detour on SH-33, I-35 and SH-51 to US-77.
     
    SH-164 closed west of Perry, Noble Co.
    SH-164 is closed approximately six miles west of Perry for a bridge and roadway reconstruction project. Drivers will detour on I-35, US-64 and SH-74 to SH-164.
     
    SH-3 narrowed, using temporary traffic signals near Hardesty, Texas Co.
    SH-3 is narrowed to one lane with temporary traffic signals directing traffic between Hardesty and SH-94 for bridge work.
     
    US-64 narrowed east of Nash, Grant Co.
    US-64 is narrowed to one lane in each direction east of Nash for bridge reconstruction. Wide loads are restricted to 9 ft.
     
    US-77 narrowed, using temporary traffic signals north of Davis, Murray Co.
    US-77 is narrowed to one lane with temporary traffic signals directing traffic just north of SH-7 at Chigley Sandy Creek for a bridge rehabilitation project.

    SH-78 narrowed north of Durant, Bryan Co.
    North and southbound lanes of SH-78 are narrowed north of Durant between the US-69/75 junctions and SH-48 for a roadway reconstruction project.
     
    I-44 narrowed near Randlett, Cotton Co.
    I-44 is narrowed to one lane in each direction between SH-36 and US-70 south of Randlett for a highway rehabilitation project. The eastbound I-44 off-ramp to US-70 is closed. Traffic wishing to use US-70 must exit onto SH-36 at Exit 1 and travel north to the intersection with US-70. Exit 1 is the last free exit before the H.E. Bailey Turnpike.
     
    I-44 narrowed in Lawton, Comanche Co.
    I-44 is narrowed to one lane in each direction between Gore Blvd. and Rogers Lane. The eastbound I-44 off-ramp to Cache Rd. is also closed.
     
    SH-17 closed just west of Sterling, Comanche Co.
    SH-17 is closed between Elgin and Sterling for a bridge replacement project at Whiskey Creek. Drivers will detour on SH-65, SH-7 and I-44/US-62 to SH-17.
     
    Oklahoma City Metro
     
    SH-4 (Mustang Rd) narrowed at I-40 near Yukon
    SH-4 (Mustang Rd.) is narrowed to one lane in each direction at I-40 as part of a continuing project to widen I-40 and reconstruct the SH-4 (Mustang Rd.) bridge and ramps at I-40. Project is expected to last through summer 2014.
     
    I-40 on-ramp from N.W. 10th St. closed in Yukon
    The westbound I-40 on-ramp from N.W. 10th St. in Yukon is closed through July as part of a continuing project to reconstruct and widen I-40 and reconstruct the SH-4 (Mustang Rd.) bridge and ramps at I-40.
     
    Tulsa Metro
     
    SH-151 closed at Keystone Dam near Mannford
    SH-151 is closed to through traffic between the SH-51 and US-412/US-64 junctions until late 2014 for a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers bridge project. Drivers can use SH-48 or SH-97/SH-51 as a detour during this project.
     
    I-244/Arkansas River - bridge replacement project

    Lane and ramp closures until further notice include:
     
    • The southbound US-75/westbound US-64/SH-51 off-ramp to eastbound I-244 (south leg to west leg IDL); follow detour at the southeast corner of the IDL to east and north legs.
    Page 3 of 3 - • East and westbound I-244 is narrowed to two lanes in each direction between 21st St. to 2nd St.; all traffic is shifted to the westbound I-244 bridge.
    • The southbound US-75/westbound US-64/SH-51 off-ramp to westbound I-244/southbound US-75 (south leg IDL to Arkansas River)
    • The southbound US-75/westbound US-64/SH-51 on-ramp from Denver Avenue.
    • The westbound I-244 off-ramp to eastbound US-64/SH-51 (west leg to south leg IDL)
    • The eastbound I-244 ramp to 7th Street and the eastbound I-244 ramp from 17th Street.
