  • The following is provided by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation:
     
    Arbuckle: July 5. Elevation below normal, water 79. Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass fair on topwater lures, jerk baits, crankbaits and swim baits from the surface to 12 ft. around brush structure, points and rocks at first light of the day. Crappie, bluegill and sunfish good on jigs, spoons, tube jigs and small lures in chartreuse/white at 20 ft. around brush structure, the main lake and ODWC piles. White bass fair on jigs, lipless baits, sassy shad and topwater lures from the surface to 12 ft. in the main lake, along riprap, points and in open water chasing bait; early morning best. Channel and flathead good on punch bait just off bottom in the main lake, around points and baited holes up Guy Sandy. Carp fair on dough bait around docks. Report submitted by Jack Melton.
     
    Blue River: July 7. Elevation normal, water 84 and murky. Smallmouth, spotted and largemouth bass slow on topwater lures and crankbaits at 2-8 ft. in channels, around brush structure and rocks. Channel catfish good on chicken liver, worms, punch bait and stinkbait at 3-8 ft. in channels, around rocks and deep pools. Flathead catfish fair on live bait and worms at 2-6 ft. around rocks and in the river channel. Sunfish and bluegill excellent on crickets, grasshoppers, Power Bait and jigs at 1-3 ft. in shallows, along shorelines and weed beds.     Broken Bow: July 6. Elevation normal, water 78. Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass fair on Alabama rigs, spoons and plastic baits at 20-25 ft. around brush structure, standing timber and the main lake. Channel and blue catfish good on chicken liver, worms, stinkbait and punch bait at 10 ft. in creek channels and the river channel. Crappie good on minnows and jigs at 25-30 ft. around brush structure and standing timber. Report submitted by Dru Polk, game warden stationed in McCurtain County.
     
    Eufaula: July 6. Elevation 1 ft. above normal, water clear. Largemouth bass fair on crankbaits and soft plastic baits around points and rocky areas. White bass fair on slab spoons along deeper flats early and late. Blue catfish good on a variety of baits in deeper rocky areas. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs at 10-18 ft. under bridges and around standing timber. Report submitted by Ed Rodebush, game warden stationed in McIntosh County.
     
    Hugo: July 6. Elevation normal, water 75. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs at 15-25 ft. around brush structure and standing timber. Flathead catfish fair on trotlines baited with goldfish and sunfish along the river channel. Largemouth bass slow on flukes around brush structure. Sunfish fair on crickets around docks. Report submitted by Jay Harvey, game warden stationed in Choctaw and Bryan counties.

    Murray: July 7. Elevation below normal, water 80. Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass fair on Alabama rigs, plastic baits and flukes at 5-20 ft. in the main lake, around points and rocks. Channel catfish fair on crawfish, punch bait, shad worms at 4-20 ft. along riprap, creek channels and the main lake. White bass fair on topwater lures, tube jigs and crankbaits from the surface to 20 ft. in the main lake, creek channels and around points.     Robert S. Kerr: July 7. Elevation normal, water 81. Largemouth and spotted bass fair on flukes, plastic baits and bill baits in coves, riprap and shorelines. White bass and striped bass fair on Alabama rigs and grubs in the main lake and the river channel. Crappie slow on minnows and jigs around brush structure and below the dam. Flathead, blue and channel catfish good on live bait, live shad and cut bait in the river channel, main lake and along flats. Report submitted by Dane Polk, game warden stationed in Pushmataha County.
     
    Sardis: July 6. Elevation normal, water 78. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs at 10-12 ft. around brush structure, standing timber and docks. Blue and channel catfish slow on cut bait at 14-16 ft. along flats and creek channels. Largemouth and spotted bass fair on crankbaits, worms, spinnerbaits and plastic baits at 4-16 ft. in channels, weed beds and brush structure. Report submitted by Dane Polk, game warden stationed in Pushmataha County.
     
    Texoma: July 6. Elevation below normal, water 78. Largemouth and smallmouth bass good on plastic baits, spinnerbaits and crankbaits at 5-15 ft. along creek channels, shorelines and brush structure. Striped bass and white bass good on live shad, slabs, topwater lures and sassy shad at 10-20 ft. in the river channel, main lake and points. Channel and blue catfish good on cut bait, live shad, worms and stinkbait at 10-20 ft. along riprap, creek channels, Washita River and cleaning stations. Crappie and sunfish good on minnows, tube jigs and small lures at 5-20 ft. around brush structure, docks, creek channels, Widowmoore and Kansas creeks.     Wister: July 6. Elevation below normal, water 80. Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass good on bill baits, crankbaits, plastic baits and brush hogs at 6-12 ft. in creek channels, around points and riprap. Flathead, blue and channel catfish good on live bait, sunfish, goldfish and chicken liver at 10-20 ft. in channels and the main lake. Crappie, bluegill and sunfish slow on minnows, jigs, crickets and small lures at 10-18 ft. around brush structure and standing timber.
