The Ardmore Board of Education took another step filling a vacant administrator role within the district at last week’s meeting.
Teacher Lacy Mitchell was hired as the new assistant principal for Charles Evans Elementary School. Last school year, Mitchell was a fifth grade teacher at Jefferson Elementary School. She steps into the role previously held by Jake Falvey, who was named the principal at Ardmore High School at the June board meeting.
Mitchell joins the administration team at Charles Evans which includes Denise Brunk, principal and Kara Wendel, assistant principal.
July’s board meeting brought notice of Jeremy Atwood’s resignation. Atwood was the assistant  principal at Ardmore Middle School. In June, it was announced that Amy Benson, principal at Will Rogers Elementary School had resigned.
