LONE GROVE — Funeral services for Steven Lynn Lee, 63, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at the New Hope Free Will Baptist Church, Lone Grove, conducted by the Rev. David Gardner. Burial will follow in the Nelda Cemetery, south of Dickson.
There will be a time of visitation and support for family and friends from 7 to 8 this evening at Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home in Ardmore.
Born to the late J.R. and Minnie (Mallard) Lee, Feb. 2, 1951, at Guymon, Okla., Steve passed from life to Life Everlasting, Saturday, July 19, 2014, at his Lone Grove residence, following an extended illness, and can now “Go Rest High On that Mountain.”
Growing up in Guymon where he attended school, he lived in Missouri for a period of time before moving back to Oklahoma. A 15-year resident of Lone Grove, coming from Davis, Steve and the former Karen Fry were married March 17, 2003, in Ardmore. They celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary this year.
A member of New Hope Free Will Baptist Church, Steve enjoyed woodworking, making Crosses, fishing and horse trading. He was in the water well business, where he was an installer and did repairs.
Steve is survived by his wife, Karen Lee of the home in Lone Grove; two sons, Leonard Lee and fiancée, Shannon and Christopher Lee, all of Mountain Home, Ark.; three stepsons, Parnell Garrison and wife, Robin, Marietta, Dillon Garrison and wife, Natalie, Ardmore, and Caleb Garrison, Marietta; a brother, Irvin Lee and wife, Shirley, Guymon; three sisters, Jackie Campbell, Guymon, Sandra Powell and Karen Tivis of Liberal, Kan.; four grandchildren; and a host of loving and caring friends.
Serving as bearers will be Parnell, Dillon and Caleb Garrison, Monty Jones, Roy Gray and Dudley Smith.
Memorials in Steve’s name may be made to Cross Timbers Hospice.
