  • Ardmore police continue to investigate the Thursday theft of a local landscaping company’s truck and equipment from its northeast side facility.
Reports indicate the GMC box truck, loaded with blowers, trimmers, chainsaws and mowers, was reported missing about 9 a.m. from Wilkins Lawn and Landscaping, 1712 Sam Noble Pkwy. Officers were told it was believed the theft occurred between 4 p.m. Wednesday and 1:45 a.m. Thursday.
Within hours of the report being filed, the truck was found abandoned in Gainesville, Texas.
However, while the truck was recovered, the landscaping equipment was gone.
Capt. Eric Hamblin, Ardmore Police Department, public information officer, said Friday the loss of the stolen equipment was estimated at $16,000.
Anyone with information concerning the theft or the identity of person(s) involved is urged to contact police headquarters at (580) 223-1212.
