The following is provided by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation:
Arbuckle: August 25. Elevation below normal, water 84. Crappie good on jigs, grubs, hair jigs and white crankbaits at 6-34 ft. around brush structure, docks, the main lake and state owned brush piles. Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass slow on crankbaits, topwater lures, jigs, jerk baits and flukes from the surface to 9 ft. around brush structure, weed beds, the main lake and shaded pockets early morning. Channel catfish fair on dough bait and grasshoppers at 21 ft. around docks, the main lake and baited holes. Bluegill fair on topwater lures from the surface to 5 ft. around docks, shallows and shaded areas. Sunfish slow on crickets around docks. Report submitted by Jack Melton.
Blue River: August 25. Elevation normal, water 82 and clear. Channel catfish good on sunfish, stinkbait and worms at 3-8 ft. around channels, rocks and points. Spotted, largemouth and smallmouth bass good on topwater lures, crankbaits and spinnerbaits at 2-5 ft. around brush structure, weed beds and channels. Flathead catfish fair on sunfish, worms and live bait at 5-7 ft. along channels and rocks; best at night. Sunfish and bluegill excellent on crickets, grubs and small lures at 1-3 ft. along shorelines, shallows and rocks. Eufaula: August 24. Elevation normal, water clear. Largemouth bass fair on plastic baits around deeper points. White bass fair trolling crankbaits along deeper flats. Blue catfish fair drifting deeper flats. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs under bridges and around standing timber. Report submitted by Ed Rodebush, game warden stationed in McIntosh County.
Hugo: August 24. Elevation normal, water 84. Crappie slow on minnows and jigs at 15-25 ft. in the river channel. Blue catfish slow on cut bait and live bait from the surface to 10 ft. in creek channels and river channel. Report submitted by Jay Harvey, game warden stationed in Choctaw and Bryan counties.
Murray: August 26. Elevation below normal, water 82 and clear. Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass fair on topwater lures, plastic baits and crankbaits from the surface to 20 ft. around docks, points and weed beds. Channel catfish fair on chicken liver, stinkbait, worms and punch bait at 10-25 ft. in channels, the main lake and creek channels. Texoma: August 24. Elevation 5 ft. below normal, water 84 and clear. Largemouth and smallmouth bass good on crankbaits, spinnerbaits and topwater lures at 5-15 ft. around brush structure, creek channels and riprap. Striped and white bass good on live shad, topwater lures, slabs and sassy shad at 10-25 ft. along the river channel, the main lake and coves; being caught on the ledges of the river from Platter Flats to the island and surfacing in the late evening. Channel and blue catfish good on live bait, stinkbait, worms and chicken liver at 10-20 ft. along coves, creek channels and riprap; being caught at the cleaning station from the mouth of the Washita River to Catfish Bay and on the Red River near Fobb Bottom. Crappie and sunfish fair on minnows, small lures and tube jigs at 5-15 ft. around brush structure, docks and creek channels. Report submitted by Danny Clubb, game warden stationed in Bryan County.
