Memorial graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park on Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, at 1 p.m. for Helen Faye Hubbard Cargile.
Helen was born May 18, 1928, to Madeline Huenfeld Hubbard and James Isham Hubbard in Montgomery City, Missouri.
She graduated from Southwest High School in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1946. She received a Bachelors of Arts degree from Texas Woman’s University in 1950.
Helen married Robert Burton Cargile of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, on June 4, 1950, at Wornall Road Baptist Church in Kansas City. They were married for 65 years.
She worked in Texas and Oklahoma public schools for 31 years.  Helen taught English at San Angelo, I.S.D; she was a high school counselor at Lubbock I.S.D.; she taught English and Remedial Reading at McAlister I.S.D. She finished her career at Ardmore High School where she taught English for 17 years and started the Advanced Placement program in English and retired in 1990.
Helen was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ardmore, Daughters of the American Revolution, and Ladies of the Leaf.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Stephen Robert Cargile and his wife, Carla; Martha Ann Koesler and her husband, Rudy; Grandchildren, Taylor Coleman Cargile, Jackson Robert Cargile, Raegan Ann Koesler and Kristian Marie Koesler Marshall, and two great-grandchildren, James Warren Marshall and Elin Marie Marshall.
