Walking into The Stag last night, I felt the childhood thrill of a little bit of magic. Daubes use to master this, housing Santa's work shops and elves, puppets dancing in the windows. Toby and Kori Deaver are bringing back a bit of whimsy, piling pumpkins and gourds, toppling down stairs, welcoming fall lovers into a shopping experience. Greeting you at the door, a small train, repainted as a replica of our new Depot train, whirled round and round, bringing smiles to each Wine Walk tourist who entered their store last night. Patrons oohed and awed over clothing for young and the vintage, unique gifts  twinkled from every nook and cranny.  Special dips satiated the palate reminding me a bit of our loved and missed, Brown Paper Bag. I look forward to what Christmas brings with this creative couple, just one more of the awesome merchants we have changing the face of Ardmore's downtown!

When merchants create an experience, Main street thrives!
