Bob Thompson has been named vice president of rural health care development at Mercy Health System of Oklahoma.
After 13 years as president of Mercy Memorial Health Center and with more than 40 years of health care experience including rural health care facilities, Thompson will assume full oversight and responsibility for rural growth strategies for Mercy in Oklahoma. Thompson’s focus will include, developing physician consultation and shared medical services, management or lease relationships with rural hospitals and clinics and setting up partnerships that allow patients to receive care within their own communities.
