Ardmore, OK —

The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation operates seven research and demonstration ranches and farms in southern Oklahoma, totaling about 12,000 acres of land.

On May 15, the Noble Foundation’s Agricultural Division will host the Oswalt Ranch Field Day, providing regional farmers and ranchers an opportunity to visit the Noble Foundation’s new cattle-handling facility and view live demonstrations.

The field day, which is open to the public and offered at no cost, will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. on the Oswalt Ranch in Love County.

During the field day, Noble Foundation consultants will have discussions on two recent research projects — a white-tailed buck movement study and a by-product feed study. Information will also be provided on the economics of preconditioning and prescribed burning.

“Field days, such as the one we are hosting at the Oswalt Ranch, provide participating farmers and ranchers a chance to see and experience modern technologies and facilities for cattle handling,” said Shan Ingram, education and special projects manager for the Noble Foundation. “They also receive updates on viable research being conducted by the Noble Foundation, which may be applied to their operations.”
