The Ardmore Chamber of Commerce has scheduled its first “Ardmore Day at the Capitol” on Tuesday.

This is an opportunity for the City of Ardmore, Chamber members and citizens to promote the community to all of the elected officials of the state. The Ardmore Chamber has chartered a bus and will provide transportation for Chamber members to the steps of the Capitol. In addition to the opportunity to visit with legislators on issues that impact lives and
businesses, the Chamber has an area in the rotunda to showcase industry, health care and our community.

Scott Chapman, Government Affairs Chairman of the Ardmore Chamber of Commerce, encourages those participating in the capitol visit to schedule meetings in advance with legislators to discuss their individual concerns, use the face-to-face opportunity to promote Ardmore and highlight those issues that challenge our community. In addition to the opportunity
to visit with lawmakers, a briefing will be held by Clayton Taylor of the Taylor Group to update the delegation on current legislation. Speaker Designate Kris Steele will speak to the group at a luncheon at 1 p.m. at the Oklahoma History Center.

A bus will depart from the Ardmore Convention Center at 7:15 a.m. and return at approximately 5 p.m. A limited number of seats are still available and can be reserved by contacting the Chamber at (580) 223-7765.
