Ardmore, OK —

New cattle-handling facilities and live demonstrations will be primary features of a May 15 field day at the Noble Foundation’s Oswalt Ranch in Love County.
Regional farmers and ranchers will have the opportunity to visit and tour the Foundation’s new facility and view live demonstrations. The field day is open to the public at no cost. The event will take place from 2  until 6 p.m. at the Oswalt Ranch in Love County.
During the field day, Noble consultants will discuss two recent research projects — a white-tailed buck movement study and a by-product feed study. Information will also be provided on the economics of preconditioning and prescribed burning.
“Field days such as the one we are hosting at the Oswalt Ranch provide participating farmers and ranchers a chance to see and experience modern technologies and facilities for cattle handling,” Noble Education and Special Projects Manager Shan Ingram said. “They also receive updates on viable research being conducted by the Noble Foundation which may be applied to their operations.”
Additional information is available at www.noble.org/agevents. Farmers and ranchers can sign up for the field day or obtain directions by contacting Annie Coble, (580) 224.6501 or e-mail macoble@noble.org
The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation operates seven research and demonstration ranches and farms totaling about 12,000 acres of land in southern Oklahoma.
