Emily McCollugh, a graduate of Lone Grove High School on her way to Oklahoma State University, is the recipient of a Bank of the West National FFA Organization scholarship in the amount of $3,000.
“Emily represents the best and brightest of our future farmers and we are please to help as she pursues her degree and career in animal sciences,” said Rondy Hunt, assistant vice president and branch manager in Ardmore.
McCollugh ranked fifth in her class carrying a 3.6 GPA. She plans to major in veterinary sciences at Oklahoma State.
The scholarship is one of eight Bank of the West-sponsored scholarship through the National FFA Organization and the only one awarded by Bank of the West in the state of Oklahoma.
Scholarship recipients were selected from 7,810 applicants from across the country, based on the applicant’s academic record, FFA and other school and community activities, supervised agricultural experience program and agricultural education and future goals.
