Lone Grove, OK —

Emily McCollugh, a graduate of Lone Grove High School on her way to Okla­homa State University, is the recipient of a Bank of the West National FFA Or­ganization scholarship in the amount of $3,000.

“Emily represents the best and bright­est of our future farmers and we are please to help as she pursues her degree and career in animal sci­ences,” said Rondy Hunt, assistant vice president and branch manager in Ardmore.

McCollugh ranked fifth in her class carry­ing a 3.6 GPA. She plans to major in veterinary sciences at Oklahoma State.

The scholarship is one of eight Bank of the West-sponsored scholarship through the National FFA Organization and the only one awarded by Bank of the West in the state of Oklahoma.

Scholarship recipients were selected from 7,810 applicants from across the country, based on the applicant’s academ­ic record, FFA and other school and com­munity activities, supervised agricultural experience program and agricultural edu­cation and future goals.
