The Ardmore Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Oklahoma Prosperity Project again to provide information to voters.
The Oklahoma Prosperity Project utilizes tools for companies to educate their employees on election issues and candidates that affect their families and their future, according to Vice President Mita Bates, Ardmore Chamber of Commerce. The chamber previously participated in this non-partisan project in 2006.
The Prosperity Project represents almost 1,200 Oklahoma companies and 455,000 employees who want to be informed on economic issues before they go to the polls, according to Bates.
A Voters Guide will be available on the Prosperity Project Web site July 8. Voters can compare how candidates for the Oklahoma State Legislature say they will vote on important economic issues.
Encouraging all who are eligible to register to vote is the current emphasis of the Ardmore Prosperity Project.
Citizens must be registered by July 3 to be eligible to vote in the primary election on July 29.
Carter County residents have a primary race in the Republican Party to fill the seat being vacated by Rep. Greg Piatt. The w
inner will then face Democratic candidate John Moore in the general election.
