When you click onto The Ardmoreite’s Web site, expect to see something completely different.
The newspaper is changing Web platforms in an effort to provide more information and interactivity for users of www.ardmoreite.com, said Melissa Mangham, new media director.
“We will be transitioning to a new online system and Web design,” she said Tuesday.
As with any major change, there will be a few “bugs” to work out in the beginning, Mangham said.
“We will have a temporary loss of some of our interactive components, such as our archives, blogs, the Spotted photo feature and our online forum,” she said. “We hope the inconvenience is short-lived, because we are dedicated to having as much interactivity as possible.”
On the other hand, users will immediately notice a great deal more news on the site’s front page, she said. Down the line, the site will feature locally-produced and locally-submitted videos and other features that will entertain and inform users, Mangham said.
