A group of Cadette Girl Scouts from GS-West in Love County will travel to North Carolina this summer for the American Indian Scouting Association conference.
The group will be led by GS-West Volunteer John Park of Sulphur.
The American Indian Scouting Association encourages Indian Scouting through a series of seminars held annually, as well as other resources AISA creates. Each seminar is hosted by a tribe near the host city and a sponsoring site (usually a school or university).
The 2008 seminar will be at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, N.C., July 12 through 16. WCU is part of the University of North Carolina system.
