One of Branson’s most popular shows will once again include Ardmore on its winter tour when “Liverpool Legends — The Ultimate Beatles Experience” takes the stage on Jan. 30, 2010, at the Washington Theatre.

The concert features four men who look and sound amazingly like the original Fab Four. In fact they are so similar in their performance, they have the backing of Louise Harrison, sister of former Beatle George Harrison.

Liverpool Legends have been named “Best Band” and “Best Show” in Branson twice the past three years.

The band’s show is a complete tribute to the Beatles, covering both the early years, as well as the later years of the most popular group in rock ’n’ roll history. They act, sing and play just like the Beatles, complete with authentic costumes and instruments.

“Everything is performed live,” Harrison said. “There is nothing pre-recorded.”

Harrison herself hand-picked the four to portray the Beatles in concert. There is also a “fifth Beatle” on keyboards, who helps the band recreate many well-known hits, including some that the Beatles themselves never performed live.

This will be the second time for the Liverpool Legends to perform at the Washington Theatre. The group played to packed house in January.

Reserved-seat tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show are $20, or $25 for limited VIP seating, and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday Reservations are only available by calling the Washington Theatre at (580) 223-5821.

“We are thrilled to have a show of this caliber coming back to Ardmore,” said Rosemary Fisher, who, along with her husband Dave, owns the recently renovated theater, located at 221 N. Washington St. “We had such a great response to their last show here, and many people have been asking if we would bring them back.”
