Girl Scouts-Western Oklahoma invites area girls to “take the plunge” and join Girl Scouts this year. GS-West will have a swim party for current Girl Scouts and for those who are interested in joining. This event will take place from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on July 21 at the Ardmore YMCA.
This is an opportunity for girls to have fun and register for the 2008-09 school year. Registration for the entire year for current Girl Scouts is $10 and for those registering for the first time it is $15 (which will cover membership the rest of this year, and all of next year).
Girls registering for the first time must bring a completed registration form and pay the $15 membership fee. Registration forms can be found at www.gswestok.org.
Girls need to bring a towel and change of clothes. Current Girl Scouts who want to register for the 2008-09 school year needs to contact their leader for a pre-printed registration form and have it signed by a parent.
