Ardmore, OK —

The Charles B. Goddard Center will present the movie “Slumdog Millionaire” (R) at 6:30 p.m. tonight. Movie admission is $5 per person, which includes light refreshments.


“Slumdog Millionaire” tells the story of a Mumbai teen who grew up in the slum and becomes a contestant on the Indian version of “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?” He is arrested under suspicion of cheating, and while being interrogated, events from his life history are shown that explain why he knows the answers. The movie was directed by Danny Boyle. Running time is 120 minutes.


“Slumdog Millionaire” earned 10 nominations and eight Oscar wins from the 2009 Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Adapted Screenplay, Cinematography, Film Editing, Original Score, Original Song and Sound Mixing.
