First Baptist
First Baptist Church will sponsor a Harvest Party from 5-7 p.m. today. The events features booths with candy prizes for children and homemade pies.
Organizers said the Downtown Mission is in need of men’s, women’s and children’s winter coats, as well as blankets, towels and sheets. The mission is open from 9 to 11 a.m. on Monday to receive donations.

St. Mary
St. Mary, Our Lady of the Rosary, Catholic Church Choir is looking for vocalists and musicians to participate in performances on Christ the King Sunday and Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve. No auditions are required and there will be only six rehearsals in the choir loft at 9 a.m. on Sundays from Nov. 15 through Dec. 20.
All Saints Day Mass will be celebrated at 10:45 a.m. Sunday. Faith Formation classes for youth and adults begin at 9 a.m. Parents and children enrolled in First Reconciliation class should meet at 8:55 a.m. in the second-grade classroom.
St. Mary Youth will meet on Sunday’s throughout the month of November from 6 to 8 p.m. The group is planning two fundraising events — chances to win a 42-inch plasma television and an ham and bean dinner. Proceeds for both upcoming events will be used to defray costs of participating in the summer “Stew Pot” in Dallas. “Stew Pot” is feed the homeless project.

St. Philip’s Episcopal
All Saints Day will be celebrated Sunday at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church with Holy Eucharist Rite I at 8 a.m. and Rite II at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Michele Rahhal will preach and the celebrant will be the Rev. Dawn Frankfurt. Mass Scripture includes: Wisdom of Solomon 3:1-9, Psalm 24, Revelation 21:1-6a and John 11:32-44.

St. Philip’s is again sponsoring a drive to collect stuffed animals for children. Contributions can be new or “slightly used.” A crib for donations is set up in the Parish Hall. The drive benefits Court Appointed Special Advocates.
