Carousel Productions will host a benefit performance for Ardmore Habitat for Humanity Feb. 12 to 15.

“Swinging With The Saints — A Gospel Jubilee” will be presented at The Brass Ring Center for the Performing Arts in the Williams Vaughan Theatre. This gospel music revue will include songs from “Amazing Grace,” “I’ll Fly Away,” “Wade In the Water” and “How Great Thou Art” to “When the Saints Go Marching In.”

Performing with Carousel Productions will be Diane Boland, Chris O’Donnell, Vicki and Jeff Gelona, Bryan and Traci Royse, Doug and Paula Pfau, Roldon Sanchez, Rachel Currier, Elizabeth Patterson and Katie Parish.

Carousel Productions will also introduce the audience to a new professional dance troupe performing with the group.

Erin Craven and Misti Reynolds serve as co-artistic directors for Ardmore Contemporary Dance.
Joining Craven and Reynolds for “Swinging With The Saints” will be Michelle McGee, Miki Hartwell, Kenna Smith, Jennifer Card and Elizabeth Long.

“Swinging With The Saints” is a benefit performance for Ardmore Habitat for Humanity. Ardmore Habitat for Humanity’s mission is to build “homes, hope, pride and faith.”

This serves as a foundation for their ministry — reaching out to families in need in the Ardmore area and providing them an opportunity to own their own home by working with Habitat volunteers.

Through no-interest home loans, families are given the opportunity to attain the American dream of owning their own home.

One of the most unique foundations of the Habitat for Humanity program is the requirement that each Habitat homeowner spends 300 or more hours of sweat equity working on their own house or another Habitat home.

The driving force behind the organization is its volunteers. Volunteers are needed who can contribute a day, a week or a few months.

Volunteers, joining with the future homeowner families, provide virtually all of the labor that goes into building a Habitat home. Habitat for Humanity is seeking sponsors for the benefit weekend.
Those who would like to make a contribution can send it to Habitat for Humanity, P.O. Box 2412, Ardmore, OK 73402.

The box office for “Swinging With The Saints” will open Feb. 9 and will remain open daily from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. daily through Feb. 15. To ask questions or to make a reservation, call (580) 226-9278.
