Ardmore, OK —

Members of the Ardmore Daughters of the American Revolution chapter conducted a workshop for prospective members on June 27 in the Chickasaw Regional Library System headquarters in Ardmore.

Chapter regent Nell Truitt welcomed the group and gave an overview of the activities and events the chapter has planned for the near future. State first vice regent Diane Hamill presented information about DAR, highlighting the involvement in historic preservation, education and patriotism and outlining the various committees, their activities and opportunities for service.

The video “Today’s DAR” was shown and volunteer genealogists helped individuals begin the search for a patriot ancestor and start the application process.
