Saturday marks the grand opening of the Arbuckle View Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Bible study begins at 9:30 a.m. A worship service will begin at 10:40 a.m. featuring a sermon by Pastor Daniel Ortega and highlighted by special music performed by Dr. Brian Shockey.
Saturday afternoon, the congregation will host an open house from 3 to 5 p.m. The public is invited to tour the new facility, which includes a sanctuary, highlighted by a stained glass circle, with seating for 175. An additional 125 seats are available to the sanctuary by opening doors to the fellowship area. The church also features a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system with video capabilities that can be used to enhance the worship experience.
The new facility has six class rooms and Sabbath School teachers and Pathfinder leaders will be on hand during the open house to show their new classrooms and to share information about their programs. A commercial style kitchen also allows the congregation to provide cooking classes.
In addition to the tour, the open house will feature special selections performed in the sanctuary every 15 minutes by a variety of musicians and vocalists from Davis, Sulphur and the Ardmore area.
