Householder graduates from basic training

Navy Airman Apprentice Gregory A. Householder recently graduated with honors from the Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill.


Householder received two awards and was selected to receive the Navy Club of the United States Military Excellence Award, which is awarded to the recruit whose total performance in training best exemplifies the qualities of enthusiasm, devotion to duty, professional and academic achievement, military appearance and behavior, self-discipline and teamwork.


The Turner High School graduate was a member of the Blue Jacket Choir while in training.


Householder is the son of the late Bryan Householder of Rubottom and Jennifer Fogle of Savannah, Ga. He is the grandson of Roy and Kathy Householder of Burneyville and Tom and Bettie Quattlebaum of Savannah.
