The Ardmore High School Tigerette Pom Squad recently attended the Universal Dance Association camp at Tulsa University.
The squad received four spirit sticks, 29 drill down ribbons, 35 superior ribbons and a team routine full out ribbon.
For their accomplishments, the squad received a superior trophy and qualified for the UDA National Dance Team Championship in Orlando, Fla., in January 2009. The girls are planning to attend the national competition and are accepting donations to help fund the trip.
Seniors Elizabeth Patterson, Katie Rutledge and Morgan Merritt were invited to audition for the UDA staff next summer. Other members of the Tigerettes include Julie Allen, Alex Bone, Melissa Dominguez, Elizabeth Douglass, Kyra Gill, Morgan Merritt, Heather Muniz, Jordan Nichols, Lauren Sheehy, Rachel Simpson and Amanda Scott. The Tigerettes are coached by Darrah Birth.
