Lone Grove, OK —

Dustin Schreibvogel of Lone Grove earned first-place honors in the Agricultural Sales-Placement proficiency award area during the 82nd Oklahoma FFA Convention on April 30.
Schreibvogel won the award based on his employment of Morris Feed and Seed Inc. in Lone Grove, carrying out daily responsibilities such as assisting customers with correct purchases, preparing attractive merchandise displays and keeping accurate records of store inventory and sales tickets.
“Through my efforts in my beef project, I decided I wanted to make a career of livestock nutrition,” Schreibvogel said. “I went to work at a feed store where I have had the opportunity to participate in a wider range of activities involving livestock feeds and nutrition.”
The Agricultural Sales Placement proficiency award is designed to recognize students who are involved in a supervised agricultural experience related to the sales of feed, seed, fertilizer or agricultural chemicals.  Students also may own businesses that involve the sales of agricultural equipment, machinery or structures.
This award is sponsored on the state level by Blue Ribbon Supply, Oklahoma FFA Alumni Association and Jim and Amy Riddle of Drumright. Vigortone Ag Products is the award’s national sponsor.
The 18-year-old Lone Grove FFA member is the son of Ray and Lois Fletcher.  His agricultural education instructor and FFA adviser is Michael Stuckey.
