Ardmore, OK —

Oak Hall Episcopal School is set to give away $10,000. With its first-ever Limited Cash Raffle, the private not-for-profit school is hoping to not only raise a little money for itself, but also to help stimulate the economy.

“In the past, we have given away a new car, but this year because of the dip in the economy that many Americans are feeling, we decided that cash was a better option,” said Head of School Laura Gallagher.

Gallagher said the idea came from the government.

“When we heard about the Stimulus Tax Rebate, it made us rethink our annual limited raffle,” she said. “We wanted to do something that would not only benefit the winner of the raffle, but also our economy.”

The drawing will take place during Oak Hall’s last day of school on May 22. Only 1,000 tickets are being sold. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased by calling (580) 226-2341 or visiting the school at 2815 N. Mount Washington St.

The winner will be notified by school officials and does not need to be present to win.
All proceeds of the raffle benefit Oak Hall Episcopal School.
