Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Patton, Lone Grove, announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Kristene, to Christopher Lee Mote, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Parkhill, Dickson; and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Mote, Marietta.
The future bride graduated from Lone Grove High School before earning an associate in science degree from Murray State College. In August, she will attend the University of Oklahoma to study dental hygiene. She is a customer service representative for American National Bank in Lone Grove.
Her grandparents are Uell Darrell and Carol Patton, Lone Grove; Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Welcher, Ninekah; and Marie Story, Comanche.
Mote is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bub Peery, Greenville; Jean Peery, Marietta; Richard Parkhill and Pat Engles, Dickson; and the late Mr. and Mrs. Earl Mote.
He is a Dickson High School graduate and attended school at Murray State College in Tishomingo. He is a yard hand at Valero Refinery in Ardmore.
The couple plan to be married on Aug. 2, 2008, at Birdsong Wedding Cottage.
