Amanda Michelle Alexander and Ronnie Joe Stearns Jr. are engaged to be married on Sept. 12, 2009, at the home of the bride’s grandparents in Wilson.
The future bride is the daughter of Brenda Alexander, Wilson; and the late Alven Alexander.
Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Cartwright, Wilson; and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lavoie Alexander.
She graduated from Wilson High School and obtained a bachelor of science degree in early childhood education from East Central University in Ada.
She is employed as a first-grade teacher at Charles Evans Elementary in Ardmore.
Her fiance is the son of Mary Stearns and Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Stearns, all of Wilson.
His grandparents are Katie Stearns, Wilson; the late Sid Stearns; the late Dr. Campbell Blynn Rector; the late Dr. Noma Rector; Jewel Ammons, Wilson; and the late Raymond “Boomer” Ammons.
He graduated from Wilson High School and is currently employed by East Jordan Iron Works in Ardmore.
