Mr. and Mrs. Don Rainey, Newnan, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Denise, to Mark Adam Carroll, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Carroll.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Sewell, Newnan; and the late Mr. and Mrs. Gene Rainey.
She graduated from Newnan High School in 2005 and earned a degree in fire science from West Georgia Tech. College in Newnan. She is employed as a personal assistant at Upper Cut Salon in Newnan.
Her fiance is a 1997 graduate of Dickson High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering technology in 2002 from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater and a bachelor’s degree in theology from Anderson Theological Seminary in Camilla, Ga. He is a senior test engineer and project leader for Yamaha Motor-Manufacturing Corporation in Newnan.
His grandparents are Frances Penrod, Sherman, Texas; Lafreda Martin and Donald Carroll, Ardmore.
The couple plan to be married on Aug. 21, 2009, at South Metro Ministries in Sharpsburg, Ga.
