Mr. and Mrs. Gary Thompson, Ardmore, announce the engagement of their daughter, Arron Lynn, to Kurt Koontz, the son of Roberta Koontz, La Russell, Mo.; and the late Mark Koontz.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Thompson and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Jones, all of Ardmore.
She graduated from Ardmore High School. She obtained her bachelor of science degree in dental hygiene from the University of Oklahoma. She is employed as a dental hygienist in Oklahoma City.
Her fiance is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Koontz, La Russell; Mary Probert, Golden City, Mo.; and the late Joe Probert.
He graduated from Lockwood High School in Lockwood, Mo. He obtained an associate degree in aviation science from the Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa. He is employed as a corporate pilot in Pittsburg, Kan.
The couple plan to be married on Oct. 3, 2009, at the home of the bride’s parents.
