Kristin Elise Butler and Clay David Roberts are engaged to be married on Jan. 2, 2010, in First United Methodist Church, Ardmore.
The future bride is the daughter of Katie Matthews, Tatum, Texas; and Kevin Butler, Ardmore. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Wendyle Andrews, Ardmore; and the late Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Butler.
She graduated from Plainview High School, Ardmore; and attended East Central University, Ada, pursuing a degree in biology. She is currently a student at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center pursuing a masters degree in occupational therapy.
She is currently employed with the OU Health Sciences Center as an occupational therapy graduate assistant in Oklahoma City.
Her fiance is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Roberts, Ardmore. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Taliaferro, Lone Grove; the late Mr. and Mrs. Ray Bentley; and the late Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Roberts.
He graduated from Lone Grove High School and from the University of Oklahoma, Norman, with a bachelor of arts degree in political science. He also graduated from East Central University with a masters in human resources.
