Does Hollywood have an imagination? How many times have you watched a movie, and said “I’ve seen this before, this is just like that other movie”?
Hello there folks. It’s nice to be back. So how have things been in the geek world? Sorry that this page hasn’t been up to par the past couple of weeks. I really need your input for the page.
KA-BOOM! A vicious, deafening sound follows the shockwave that knocks the main character to the dirt. Everything fades to black, but only for a moment. Our hero awakens quickly and pulls himself up from the ground while brushing the dust off his shoulders.
Well hello everybody. Did anyone miss the jibber jabber last week? I was having a hectic week, and just could not get around to sitting down and thinking about what to write. I am good to go now though. So let’s get on with the fun.
Recently I spoke to Chris Taylor, who some of you may remember from the very first Geek Nation, about the progress of his modded out Xbox 360. When I had conducted the interview for the “Game Night” article, he told about his idea to mod his console. I told him that once it was done to let me know. So here we are. I interviewed Chris once again, and I would like to thank him for taking the time to do the interview. So let’s move on then.
Now that I am an accomplished journalist (having written and published three whole articles in my local paper) I’d like to share something with you. You see, one of my favorite things about the English language is that it’s alive.
Hello everybody my name is Jarrod and as an avid geek myself, I felt compelled to write this little bit here to tell you about the “Terminator” films. It’s nothing too in depth or anything like that. It is just a few things about each film and what I think about the overall franchise. So here goes.
CAUTION: This article contains spoilers. If you haven’t seen the new Star Trek film, don’t read this article. Unless you’re one of those people who like spoilers, in which case go ahead and read it, it’s a free country. Also, please keep in mind that this article is a follow-up to the one I wrote a few weeks ago before I’d actually seen this film. If you didn’t get the chance to read it, it’s now available online at www.ardmoreite.com, under the “Geek” tab on the main page.
I did it. I should have known it would happen, but I did it anyway. What was it that I did? I bragged about not having any problems with my Playstation 3 for the past two years. Well guess what. The same day that I had written the article my PS3 died on me. I’m not kidding either. I jinxed myself big time.
Why do we choose to be fanboys or fangirls of some characters, universes, movies, or video games and not another?
