William Powell was remembered Wednesday as a humble man whose tireless efforts in building diversity in golf made him a hero to many who may not even have known him.

Eddie Rodriguez of Ardmore made a hole-in-one at Lake Murray Golf Course on Tuesday. The shot was made on Hole No. 16 with a 9-iron from 145 yards. Bob Pruitt witnessed the shot.
