Trae Wilkins shot 1-under at WinStar Golf Course to win the 14- and 15-year-old division of the First Nations Golf Association Native Youth Championships on Thursday.


Wilkins, a Plainview golfer, shot a two-round 143 for the title. The Choctaw golfer was one of many local players to represent their tribes in the tournament.


Jerad Wilkins of Dickson, playing for team Chickasaw, finished second, while teammate Austin McNeal of Roff came in third.


Ardmore’s Chad Smith was second in the 16-18 division.


Ashton Gores of Plainview, a western Cherokee player, shot 164 to finish second in the girls division, three shots behind Carol Murphy of California.
