Jimmy’s Western Wear at 32 Tiffany Plaza has a wood wick burning candle for $19.95 that emits a smell similar to a log fire. The store also offers a wide selection of Western boots, hats and jackets starting at $69.95. And there’s an after Thanksgiving sale on Friday for 10 to 20 percent off all regularly priced merchandise.
If you’re shopping for a gaming fan, head to the Living Word Bible Book and Gift store at 700 N. Commerce, to pick up Guitar Praise, the Christian version of Guitar Hero, for $99.99, which includes the game and wireless guitar control. Kids can play along to tobyMac, Skillet, Petra and Flyleaf, all Christian bands. Living Work also sells Christian DVD’s and CD’s starting at $14.95 along with teen bibles, personalized for boys or girls starting at $24.50 and Christian-themed holiday cards.
Maria’s Garden at 112 Wheeler St. SW has a Buddha Board for $33.95. The board is a design easel with a paint brush, any potential artists may paint on the surface using water and the surface turns black wherever the water touches. And as each image fades, new images are created. The store also has Table Topics, a friendly conversation game that’s great for dinner parties for $29.95. The game prompts players with questions such as: “What is your ideal birthday dinner menu?”
Therapy Center Spa at 691 12th Ave NW is offering a host of gift certificate items for a loved one who might need a break from stresses of life. Their daily specials are $40 each and each treatment is one hour long. On each day a new special is offered:
Monday is sinus, allergy, facial massage and ear candling treatment. This idea is great from someone who works in a noisy environment and must wear ear plugs at work. Tuesday there’s an hour-long reflexology treatment, which is massaging pressure points on the bottom of the feet that correspond with organs in the body to help stimulate blood flow and oxygen. A great idea for someone on their feet all day. Wednesday is the 30 minute upper body and 30 minute reflexology treatment. Thursday is an hour long full-body massage. Their stuffed olives are all $9.00. The are stuffed with blue cheese, almonds, jalapeños, onions, sweet pepper or garlic. And a truly tasty treat is their liqueur cakes for $10. T-Nails and Waxing at 2122 A W. Broadway has gift certificates available for the holiday season. A full set of finger nails costs $25 and french-tip nails cost $30. Waxing options vary depending on the body part, but eyebrows are only $10 and legs are between $25-$40. And pedicure cost $25.
