4 hospitalized after head-on crash on SH 7

Ardmore, OK —

Four men were critically injured Friday night in a two-vehicle pile up on State Highway 7 near Hennepin.


The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Acie Leevon Gordon, 21, Sulphur, the driver of a 1991 Ford, was airlifted by Air-Evac from the scene of the 6:25 p.m. crash to OU Medical Center. Gordon was admitted to the medical facility with head, internal, trunk, arm and leg injuries.


Passengers in Gordon’s vehicle –– Jay Scott Revels, 20, Davis, and Trey Shawn Drew, 19, Mangum –– were also air lifted by Air-Evac and Eagle-Med to the medical center in Oklahoma City. Both men also suffered head, internal, trunk, arm and leg injuries.


Floyd Ray Ingram, 52, Sulphur, was identified as the driver of a 2002 Dodge. He was pinned in the wreckage of his vehicle for about 10 minutes before being freed by Hennepin firefighters. Ingram was also air lifted by Air-Evac to the medical center, where he was admitted for treatment of head, internal, trunk external, arm and leg injuries.


According to OHP reports, Gordon was driving westbound on the highway, while Ingram was eastbound on SH 7. Gordon’s car went left of center hitting Ingram head on.


Seatbelts were in use by all four men.


Alcohol may have played a role in the crash, which was investigated by Troopers Jody Cornelison, while troopers Joe Jefferson, Mark Glenn, David Duggan, Danny Long, Pete Haines and Doug George assisted, as well as sheriff’s deputies from Carter, Murray and Garvin counties. Murray County EMS and Southern Oklahoma Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
