Family Shelter Advocate Kenna Kirkpatrick ties a purple ribbon on a car antennae Thursday at J.J.s Furniture parking lot, signifying Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The shelter had a ribbon drive-through area for cars to receive a purple ribbon. The shelter wants to encourage people to wear purple on Wednesday, Oct., 15 to show support for stopping domestic violence.
