❒ The McFarlin Methodist Church in Norman was the setting for the July 23, 2011, wedding of Megan Suzanne Craighead and Christopher Michael Engels. The Rev. Bruce Ingram performed the ceremony, and Diane Nutt sang, “When I Say ‘I Do’.”
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Don Craighead, Norman; and Mr. and Mrs. Michael Engels, Plano, Texas. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Vincent, Duncan; Mr. and Mrs. Tommy C. Craighead, Ardmore; Mr. and Mrs. Ted Hughes, Padre Island, Texas; and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Engels, Plano, Texas.
The bride wore a lace, drop waist LaSposa gown detailed with lace appliques trailing onto a layered tulle skirt with a chapel train. The dress was highlighted with a taupe sash featuring a ribbon flora accent. She carried a hand tied bouquet of white roses, lilies, orchids and hydrangeas.
Honor attendants were Naomi Kozlowski, Tulsa; and James Engles, Plano, Texas.
Other members of the wedding party were Lindsey Martin, Elise Baudille, Kelsey Turner, Caitlin Goddard, Jeff Craighead, Wes Franklin, Jeff Burton, Kyle Salomon, Ashley Macy, Hope Macy, Brandon Martin, Michael McCormick and Lynsey McCormick.
A dinner/reception followed at the Oklahoma History Center in Oklahoma City, where Larry Hammett, classical guitarist, entertained guests.
The couple spent their honeymoon in the Bahamas. They live in Houston, Texas.
