On Aug. 15, 2008, Raymond and Jane May of Ardmore celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
The couple were married on Aug. 15, 1958, in Epworth Methodist Church in Oklahoma City.
Both retired, Raymond is still remembered by many in the city as “The Coffee Man” who owned Texoma Coffee Service for many years, providing local businesses, their employees and customers with java and other refreshments. He is also remembered by some for his years as a little league baseball coach.
Jane is a retired legal secretary, working many years for local attorneys Jim Dolman and Sam Veazy, among others. She still works freelance on various legal projects when asked. She has been active with First United Methodist Women, and both have been active in their neighborhood organization.
They have three sons, David, of Mineral Wells, Texas; Gerry, of Shreveport, La.; and Phillip, of Ardmore. They have two grandchildren.
The couple plan to mark this milestone in their lives in private celebrations with family. But they will appreciate the congratulations and well wishes for the future from those who know and see them.
