A Sulphur resident has been selected as one of the members of the twenty-second annual class of Leadership Oklahoma.
Jenny Trett, Sulphur and her 51 classmates were chosen for the program from of field of state wide applicants.
“Leadership Oklahoma is very excited about the 52 people chosen for this year’s program,” Mary Melon, chairman of the board of directors, said. “Class XXII is an outstanding blend of leaders from a variety of fields who will contribute a wealth of knowledge to our discussions on important Oklahoma issues.”
The class meets monthly for nine sessions in different communities throughout the state and are exposed to the many social, environmental and economic complexities of Oklahoma in order to stimulate inquiry, analysis and solutions for the public good.
Leadership Oklahoma is a statewide organization founded in 1986 to create a network of leaders whose increased awareness and commitment to service will energize Oklahomans to shape the state’s future. Over 1070 members have graduated from the leadership program.
