A workshop and Christmas party were on the agenda of the Madill Art Club’s November covered dish luncheon meeting.
“Working with Clay” is the workshop subject. Sculptor Robert Ostman of Ardmore will conduct the session slated for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in the club’s Ruby Adkins Art Center and Gallery, 403 E. Main St. in Madill. Fees are $20 for members and $35 for non-members.
Additional planning included the club’s annual Christmas party to be conducted on the regular monthly meeting date, the first Tuesday of the month, Dec. 2. The party will begin at 11 a.m. with a potluck covered dish luncheon, followed by a party game gift exchange.
A reception at a new gallery, Studio 107, took place Nov. 8 at 107 E. Main St. in Ardmore. Madill Club member Sunny Raschke is showing her paintings there, along with works by Ostman and several other artists.
The Ruby Adkins Gallery and Art Center will be open this Nov. 19 and 20, but will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Regular hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. Some 100 paintings, both watercolor and oil paintings, as well as original art note cards and prints, are available.
